A Fallout New Vegas mod has recreated the MMO experience by adding NPCs who sound like “spammers, raging squeakers, and zergs.”
Modder funkySwadling has created a mod that brings the Fallout 76 experience to Fallout New Vegas. The Fallout 76 Experience adds “mic spamming, raging squeakers, zergs, and proper gamertags” and around a dozen NPCs with dialogue to make them feel like an “average…player” in an MMO.
“Honestly I didn’t really expect anyone to download this. Just made it for the meme, and so I could make a video,” said funkySwadling.

“Personally even though I made it, I couldn’t imagine trying to do a playthrough with something like this installed.

Serial iobit uninstaller 6.2. “Amazing seeing all the support this mod has gotten though!”
They seem to have got it spot on from the sounds of the video, which does indeed feature a lot of screaming. So get ready for that.
Fallout 76 was revealed in May and is an online multiplayer game about the first people to leave the vault.
The title will feature nukes that players can launch on the map once they find the codes, but the devs have explained that launching the nukes will play a big part in Fallout 76’s end game.
Players won’t be able to target each other with the nukes and those in the affected area will get plenty or warning to make themselves scarce.
Bethesda has announced a beta before the game’s release, that’s currently only available to those who have pre-ordered, and Xbox One players will get first access.
Fallou 76 launches on November 14 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Thanks to modder funkySwadling, your Fallout New Vegas experience has just become more multiplayer… well, kind of. The Fallout 76 Experience mod adds extra functionality to the base game to bring you all your favorite parts of online multiplayer games to the game’s single-player experience. Who among us hasn’t been playing New Vegas and wished that there was more mic spam, zerg rushes and, most importantly, the sound of a 13-year-old boy screaming “rheeee!“ at the top of his lungs. This mod should certainly scratch that itch.
Now, don’t let the hyper-realistic gamertags confuse you, this mod is still 100% offline. Every interaction has been scripted by the mods creator to make these newly added NPCs feel as if they are an average player in an online game.
funkySwadling has be quoted as saying, “Honestly I didn’t really expect anyone to download this. Just made it for the meme, and so I could make a video.”
While the mod was created more as a joke, on it’s Nexus mod page funkySwadling does claim that the mod is fairly well balanced in terms of level scaling of the newly added NPCs.
The mod itself has been made in light of the recent fear and criticism of Fallout 76 and what an online Fallout game may devolve into. One major criticism that players have feared may be abused into the realm of annoying gameplay is 76’s nuke launch system. In this new system players must gather nuclear launch codes from in-world events in order to launch a nuclear bomb into multiple locations within the game. Bethesda’s senior VP Pete Hines has curbed this fear in announcing that while these bombs are dangerous in nature, players cannot be targeted with them and any within the blast-zone will be notified with ample time to respond.
Fallout 76 releases on November 14th, 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
