This page contains a list of cheats, codes, Easter eggs, tips, and other secrets for Diablo II for PC. If you've discovered a cheat you'd like to add to the page, or have a correction, please click EDIT and add it.
Do It Yourself Gem Upgrade[edit]
If you want to upgrade your gems (and skulls too) but don't know where a gem shrine is, try this: gather three similar gems (ie: three chipped diamonds) and place them in the Horadic Cube. Hit the transmute and you now have one flawed gem. Place three flawed gems inside, transmute, and you get one full gem. Place three full gems inside and get a flawless gem.
Tougher Enemies[edit]
If you want to play against tougher enemies, press ENTER, type 'players 8' and then press ENTER again. Now you'll play as if there are 8 players in the game, making the enemies tougher. Doing this can make things very hard at times, but it's a great way to quickly level up early on in the game.
Cow level[edit]
This cheat is a cheat to open up a secret level called 'moo moo farm.' First, you have do get wirt's leg from Tristram. Then you have to get the horadric cube. Finally, you have to put wirts leg and a TOME (the book) of town portal in the horadric cube and transmute. NOTE: you have to have beaten the game on the difficulty for it to work!
Meat Diablo[edit]
Here's a way to 'meat' (cheese) Diablo to death. You will need to do some preparation and have the ability to Life Steal (the more the better, but at least 15%) and maximum Lightning Resistance. Manuever Diablo into a corner so you can swing at him easily and both abilities should let you kill Diablo with ease.
Easy Way to Up Gems[edit]
If you have a particular gem that you wish to increase (such as raising a chipped ruby to a flawed ruby) then this trick is for you.
1. Find a gem shrine, but dont click on it.
2. Then put the gem that you wish to increase in your inventory, but make sure no other gems are present in you inventory. It would even be smart to remove any items that you are wearing that contain gems. 3. Then when you have everything above finished click on the gem shrine. 4. The gem that you had in your inventory will be on the ground but it will be increased .<P>For example: If you had a flawed ruby in you inventory and you clicked on the gem shrine, you flawed ruby will be changed into a ruby! Save Yourself From Certain Death[edit]
If you are about to die and have no Potions, simply press ESC, then Save and Exit the game. When you boot up again, you'll find yourself in the safety of the town. Now you can buy health, repair items and go to a more manageable location to gain levels.
Claim Your Items After Death[edit]
Normally when you die, your corpse will remain where you croaked, surrounded by whatever killed you. To avoid this, after you die Save and Exit the game. Now your corpse and possessions can be picked up in the safety of the town.
Cacophony of Sound[edit]
During gameplay, press enter. Then type: SOUNDCHAOSDEBUG to hear an uproar of voices and sounds. To turn it off, type it again.
Run game in a window[edit]
To run the game in a window on your desktop, enter '-w' at the command line.<p>So, if you have a shortcut on the deskop you will want to put the code in this way:<p>'C:Program FilesDiablo2Diablo2.exe' -w<p>
The directory where the game is installed will vary per computer. Also, be sure to put the -w in after the quotes.
Diablo 2 Set Players
Comments
Diablo II is an action role-playinghack-and-slashcomputervideo game developed by Blizzard North and published by Blizzard Entertainment in 2000 for Microsoft Windows, Classic Mac OS, and macOS. The game, with its dark fantasy and horror themes, was conceptualized and designed by David Brevik and Erich Schaefer, who, with Max Schaefer, acted as project leads on the game. The producers were Matthew Householder and Bill Roper.
Building on the success of its predecessor, Diablo (1996), Diablo II was one of the most popular games of 2000[5] and has been cited as one of the greatest video games ever made. Major factors that contributed to the game's success include: its continuation of popular fantasy themes from the previous game, and its access to Blizzard's free online play service, Battle.net.[6] An expansion to the game, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, was released in 2001.[7] Another sequel in the series, Diablo III, was announced in 2008 and released on May 15, 2012. Diablo Immortal, the fourth installment in the series, was announced during Blizzcon 2018 and is set after Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.[8]
Gameplay[edit]
Diablo II's storyline progresses through four chapters or 'Acts'. Each act follows a predetermined path, but the wilderness areas and dungeons between key cities are randomly generated. The player progresses through the story by completing a series of quests within each act, while there are also optional side dungeons for extra monsters and experience. In contrast to the first Diablo, whose levels consisted of descending deeper and deeper into a Gothic-themed dungeon and Hell, Diablo II's environments are much more varied. Act I is similar to the original Diablo; the Rogue Encampment is a simple palisade fort, while plains and forests making up the wilderness area, and the Monastery resembles the typical Middle Ages fortress. Act II mimics Ancient Egypt's desert and tombs; Lut Gholein resembles a Middle Eastern city and palace during the Crusades. Act III is supposedly based on the Central American jungles; Kurast is inspired by the lost Maya civilization. Act IV takes place in Hell and is the shortest, with just three quests compared to the other Acts that have six.
The Lord of Destruction expansion adds the fifth chapter Act V which continues the story where Act IV left off. Act V's style is mainly mountainous as the player ascends Mount Arreat, with alpine plateaus and icy tunnels and caverns. Occasional portals can take the player to dungeons in Hell (seen in Act IV) for extra monsters and experience. After reaching the summit of Arreat, the player gains access to the Worldstone Keep (whose architecture may be reminiscent of Angkor Wat and other Hindu temples).[9]
In addition to the acts, there are three sequential difficulty levels: Normal, Nightmare, and Hell; completing the game (four Acts in the original or five Acts in the expansion) on a difficulty setting will open up the next level. On higher difficulties, monsters are more varied, stronger and may be resistant or immune to an element or physical damage; experience is penalized on dying, and the player's resistances are handicapped. However, better items are rewarded to players as they go through higher difficulties. A character retains all abilities and items between difficulties, and may return to a lower difficulty at any time, albeit it is not possible to re-play the quests that are already completed.
Players can create a hardcore character. In normal mode, the player can resurrect their character if killed and resume playing, while a hardcore character has only one life. If killed, the character is permanently dead and unplayable. In addition, all items and equipment on that character will be lost unless another friendly character has the 'loot' icon checked. Standard and hardcore characters play on separate online channels; as such a hardcore player can never appear in the same game session as a standard player.
Item system[edit]
Diablo II uses a system of randomly generated equipment similar to the original Diablo, but more complicated. Weapons and armor are divided into several quality levels: normal, magical, set, rare and unique. Normal quality items are base items with a fixed set of basic properties, such as attribute requirements, maximum durability, armor rating (on armor), block chance (on shields), damage and attack speed (on weapons). Magical quality items have blue names and one or two randomly selected bonuses, such as bonuses attributes, skills or damage, indicated by a prefix or suffix. Rare quality items have randomly generated yellow names and 2 to 6 random properties. Unique items have fixed names in gold text, and instead of randomized properties, they have a set of 3 to 8 preselected properties. Green-named set items have fixed names and preselected properties like unique items, and belong to specific named sets of 2 to 6 items. Additional properties known as set bonuses are activated by equipping multiple or all items from the same set. These are themed on individuals, like Civerb's cudgel, shield and amulet each provide individual bonuses which are enhanced if two or more of the items are used to equip a character. It is unusual to encounter more than one item from a set in a single playthrough of the game, so collectors need to play the game many times to accumulate all items from a set, or purchase them online from other players who possess them but do not need them. Additionally, items can possess sockets, which can be used to upgrade items by adding gems for various bonuses.[10]
Diablo II includes an item crafting system. An item known as the Horadric Cube is used to combine two or more items to create a new item. For example, 3 identical lower quality gems can be combined to create a single higher quality gem, and 3 small rejuvenation potions can be combined to create a single, more powerful rejuvenation potion.[11]
Character classes[edit]
The five character classes in Diablo II as seen during the opening selection animation. From left to right: the Amazon, Necromancer, Barbarian, Sorceress, and Paladin.
Diablo II allows the player to choose between five different character classes: Amazon, Necromancer, Barbarian, Sorceress, and Paladin. Each character has different strengths, weaknesses and sets of skills to choose from, as well as varying beginning attributes. The maximum level that any character can obtain is level 99.
Two additional character classes, the Druid and Assassin, were added in the expansion.
The player can enlist the help of one hireling (computer-controlled mercenaries) from a mercenary captain in the town; the Rogue Scouts, Desert Mercenaries, Ironwolves, and Barbarians, from Acts I, II, III, and V (expansion only). The expansion allows players to retain their mercenary throughout the entire game as well as equipping them with armor and weapons. Hirelings gain experience and attributes like the player, although their level cannot surpass that of their master character.[18] Typically players choose a hireling that provides something missing from their character class; for instance the melee-focused Barbarian may choose an Ironwolf for ranged magical support.
Multiplayer[edit]
Diablo II can be played multiplayer on a local area network (LAN) or the Blizzard's Battle.net online service. Unlike the original Diablo, Diablo II was made specifically with online gaming in mind.[19] Several spells (such as auras or war cries) multiply their effectiveness if they are cast within a party, and although dungeons still exist, they were largely replaced by open spaces.
Battle.net is divided into 'Open' and 'Closed' realms.[20] Players may play their single-player characters on open realms; characters in closed realms are stored on Blizzard's servers, as a measure against cheating, where they must be played every 90 days to avoid expiration. Originally, these closed realms served their purpose of preventing cheating, as open games were subject to many abuses as the characters were stored on players' own hard drives. Within the last few years, however, many cheats are used on these closed realms.[21] Hacks, bots, and programs which allow the player to run multiple instances of the game at the same time are not allowed by Blizzard but are very commonly used. Spambots (programs which advertise sites selling Diablo II's virtual items for real-world currency) run rampant on the service and a player hosting a public game can expect a visit from one every few minutes.[22] Due to the surplus of virtual items provided by the automated bots, which repeatedly kill bosses to obtain items, supply is well in excess of demand, and items which used to trade well are now often given away for nothing.[23]
As the game can be played cooperatively (Players vs. Environment, PvE), groups of players with specific sets of complementary skills can finish some of the game's climactic battles in a matter of seconds, providing strong incentives for party-oriented character builds. Up to eight players can be in one game; they can either unite as a single party, play as individuals, or form multiple opposing parties. Experience gained, monsters' hit points and damage, and the number of items dropped are all increased as more players join a game, though not in a strictly proportional manner. Players are allowed to duel each other with all damage being reduced in player vs player (PvP). The bounty for a successful kill in PvP is a portion of the gold and the 'ear' of the defeated player (with the previous owner's name and level at the time of the kill).
The Ladder System can be reset at various intervals to allow for all players to start fresh with new characters on an equal footing. Ladder seasons have lasted from as short as six months to over a year. When a ladder season ends, all ladder characters are transferred to the non-ladder population. Certain rare items are available only within ladder games, although they can be traded for and exchanged on non-ladder after the season has ended.[24]
The game has been patched extensively; the precise number of patches is impossible to determine as Battle.net has the capability of making minor server-side patches to address immediate issues. As of July 2016, the game is in version 1.14d.[25] Through the patch history, several exploits and issues have been addressed (such as illegal item duplication, though it still exists), as well as major revamps to the game's balance (such as the ability to redo skills and attributes). Not all patches have affected Diablo II directly, as several were designed to address issues in the expansion to the game and had minimal effects on Diablo II.[26]
Plot[edit]
Diablo II takes place after the end of the previous game, Diablo, in the world of Sanctuary. In Diablo, an unnamed warrior defeated Diablo and attempted to contain the Lord of Terror's essence within his own body. Since then, the hero has become corrupted by the demon's spirit, causing demons to enter the world around him and wreak havoc.
A band of adventurers who pass through the Rogue Encampment hear these stories of destruction and attempt to find out the cause of the evil, starting with this corrupted 'Dark Wanderer.' As the story develops, the truth behind this corruption is revealed: the soulstones were originally intended to imprison the Prime Evils after they were banished to the mortal realm by the Lesser Evils. With the corruption of Diablo's soulstone, the demon is able to control the Dark Wanderer and is attempting to free his two brothers Mephisto, and Baal. Baal, united with the mage Tal-Rasha, is imprisoned in a tomb near Lut Gholein. Mephisto is imprisoned in the eastern temple city of Kurast.
As the story progresses, cut scenes show the Dark Wanderer's journey as a drifter named Marius follows him. The player realizes that the Dark Wanderer's mission is to reunite with the other prime evils, Baal and Mephisto. The story is divided up into four acts:
In the epilogue, Marius, speaking in a prison cell, indicates he was too weak to enter Hell, and that he fears the stone's effects on him. He gives the soulstone to his visitor. The visitor reveals himself to be Baal, the last surviving Prime Evil now in possession of his own soulstone. He then kills Marius and sets the prison cell on fire.
The story continues in the expansion Diablo II: Lord of Destruction where Baal attempts to corrupt the mythical Worldstone on Mount Arreat. Upon returning to the Pandemonium Fortress after defeating Diablo, Tyrael opens a portal to send the adventurers to Arreat.
History[edit]Development[edit]
The game was originally to be released in 1999, after being shown off at E3 1998.[citation needed] According to designer and project lead Erich Schaefer, 'Diablo II never had an official, complete design document.. for the most part we just started making up new stuff.'[27] The game was slated to have two years of development work, but it had taken Blizzard North over three years to finish. Diablo II, despite having less than one percent of the original code from Diablo I and having much of its content and internal coding done from scratch, was seen by the testers as 'more of the same.' The game was meant to be released simultaneously both in North America and internationally. This allowed the marketing and PR department for Blizzard North to focus their efforts in building up excitement in players worldwide for the first week of sales, contributing to the game's success.[27]
Music development[edit]
The score was composed by Matt Uelmen and integrates creepy ambience with melodic pieces. The style of the score is ambient industrial and experimental.[28] It was recorded in Redwood City, Oakland, and San Mateo, California, from April 1997 to March 2000.
Some tracks were created by reusing the tracks from the original game, while others by rearranging tracks that were out-takes. Other scores are combinations of parts that were created more than a year after the first game's release. A single track usually integrates recorded samples from sound libraries, live recorded instrument interpretation samples specially meant for the game (guitar, flute, oriental percussion), and electronic instruments also, making the tracks difficult for later live interpretations.
While the player visits the town, the game recreates the peaceful atmosphere from the first Diablo game, so for that the theme from Act I called 'Rogue' comes back with the same chords of the original piece, reproducing only a part of the original Diablo town theme. For Act II Mustafa Waiz, a percussionist, and Scott Petersen, the game's sound designer, worked on the drum samples. Waiz played on the dumbek, djembe, and finger cymbals which gave Matt Uelmen a base upon which to build tracks around.
The town theme from Act II, 'Toru', makes strong statement of departure from the world of Act I while also maintaining a thematic connection to what had come before. It is the first time in the series to be used some radically different elements than the guitars and choral sounds that dominate both the original Diablo and the opening quarter of Diablo II. The foundation of the 'Toru' piece is found in exciting dynamics of a Chinese wind gong. The instrument radically changes color from a steady mysterious drone to a harsh, fearsome noise, that gives exotic feeling and at the same time the pacing of the second town. In all sequences of Act II with deserts and valleys, Arabic percussion sounds dominate.
The composer was impressed by two of the Spectrasonics music libraries, Symphony of Voices and Heart of Asia. He used samples from Heart of Asia in the Harem piece from Act II. The 'Crypt' track uses a sample from Symphony of Voices; the choral phrase Miserere. Voice samples from Heart of Asia, Heart of Africa, and Symphony of Voices by Spectrasonics. The 'Harem' track samples from Heart of Asia the Sanskrit Female 1 samples.[29]
Release[edit]
The game was released in Collector's Edition format, containing bonus collector's material, a copy of the DiabloDungeons & Dragons pen-and-paper campaign setting, and promotional movies for other Blizzard games. In 2000, the Diablo II: Exclusive Gift Set similarly contained exclusive collector's material and promotional videos, as well as a copy of the official strategy guide. The 2000 released Diablo Gift Pack contained copies of Diablo and Diablo II, but no expansions. The 2001 Diablo: Battle Chest version contained copies of Diablo II, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, the official strategy guide, and the original Diablo. Recently however[when?], the Battle Chest edition no longer contains the original Diablo.
Support and legacy[edit]
Blizzard continues to provide limited support for Diablo II, including occasional patches. Although the original CD retail release worked on Windows 95/98/Me/NT4SP5,[30] the current version downloadable from Battle.net requires at least Windows 2000/XP.[31]
Around 2008, the announcement of Diablo III renewed the interest in its predecessor and brought more attention to the many mods available for the game.[32]
In 2015 an unofficial port for the ARM architecture based Pandora handheld became available by static recompilation and reverse engineering of the original x86 version.[33][34]
On March 11, 2016 Blizzard released the 1.14a Patch, which added support for Windows 7 and newer, a macOS installer and support for OS X 10.10 and 10.11, although there is currently no support for macOS 10.13.[3][35]
Commercial performance[edit]
In its debut day on shelves, Diablo II sold 184,000 units.[36] The game's global sales reached 1 million copies after two weeks,[37] and 2 million after one and a half months.[38] It was awarded a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records 2000 edition for being the fastest selling computer game ever sold, with more than 1 million units sold in the first two weeks of availability.[39] Its sales during 2000 alone reached 2.75 million globally;[40] 33% of these copies were sold outside the United States, with South Korea making up the largest international market.[41]Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm and Diablo III have since surpassed Diablo II's record to become fastest-selling computer games ever at their times of release, according to Blizzard.[42][43]
In the United States, PC Data tracked 308,923 sales for Diablo II during the June 25–July 1 period, including sales of its Collector's Edition. This drew revenues of $17.2 million.[44] Domestic sales reached 790,285 units ($41.05 million) by the end of October 2000, according to PC Data. Another $4.47 million were earned in the region by that date via sales of the Collector's Edition.[45]Diablo II finished 2000 with 970,131 sales in the United States, for a gross of $48.2 million.[46]
Diablo II's success continued in 2001: from February to the first week of November, it totaled sales of 306,422 units in the United States.[47] It was ultimately the country's eighth-best-selling computer title of 2001,[48] with sales of 517,037 units and revenues of $19.3 million.[49] Its lifetime domestic sales climbed to 1.7 million units, for $67.1 million in revenue, by August 2006. At this time, this led Edge to declare it the United States' second-largest computer game hit released since January 2000.[50] It received a 'Gold' sales award from the Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association (ELSPA),[51] indicating sales of at least 200,000 copies in the United Kingdom.[52]
Diablo II became a major hit in the German market, and debuted at #1 on Media Control's computer game sales chart for June 2000. Speaking with Havas Interactive's public relations director, PC Player's Udo Hoffman noted that the representative 'had to make an effort on the phone to avoid singing and jubilating' over the game's commercial performance.[53] The Verband der Unterhaltungssoftware Deutschland (VUD) presented Diablo II with a 'Gold' award after three weeks of availability,[54] indicating sales of at least 100,000 units across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.[55] It maintained first place for July and rose to 'Platinum' status (200,000 sales) by the end of the month.[53][55][56] The game proceeded to place in Media Control's top 10 through October, peaking at #2 in August,[53] and in the top 30 through December.[57][58] By the end of 2000, roughly 350,000 units had been sold in the German market.[53]Diablo II continued to chart in January 2001, with a placement of 24th,[58] and its Limited Edition debuted in second place for February.[59] That April, the VUD presented the game with a 'Double-Platinum' certification, for 400,000 sales. This made it one of the region's best-selling computer games ever at that time.[60]
As of June 29, 2001, Diablo II has sold 4 million copies worldwide.[61] Copies of Diablo: Battle Chest continue to be sold in retail stores, appearing on the NPD Group's top 10 PC games sales list as recently as 2010.[62] Even more remarkably, the Diablo: Battle Chest was the 19th best selling PC game of 2008[63] – a full seven years after the game's initial release – and 11 million users still played Diablo II and StarCraft over Battle.net in 2010.[64]
Reception[edit]Critical reviews[edit]
Diablo II has a positive reception. The PC version of the game achieves an overall score of 88/100 on Metacritic and 89% at GameRankings.[65][66]GameSpy awarded the game an 86 out of 100,[5]IGN awarded the game an 8.3 out of 10,[68] and GameSpot awarded the game an 8.5 out of 10.[76]
Awards[edit]
Diablo II earned GameSpot's 2000 runner-up Reader's Choice Award for role-playing game of the year.[67] The game has received the 'Computer Game of the Year', 'Computer Role Playing Game of the Year', and 'Game of the Year' awards from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences at the 2001 Interactive Achievement Awards.[69] In August 2016, Diablo II placed 21st on Time's The 50 Best Video Games of All Time list.[77] It was placed at No. 8 on Game Informer's 'Top 100 RPGs Of All Time' list.[78]
Secret Cow Level[edit]
The 'Secret Cow Level' is the result of a running joke from the original Diablo that spawned from an Internet rumor about the cows that appear in the game, seemingly without purpose. Supposedly, if the cow was clicked a certain number of times, a portal to a secret level would open. The rumor turned out to be a hoax, but the legend was born, and player after player asked Blizzard about how to access the level.
In Diablo: Hellfire, an add-on for Diablo created by third-party developer Synergistic Software, it was possible to change a parameter in a specific text file, so that the farmer was dressed in a cow suit, with appropriate new dialogue ('Moo.' 'I said Moo!'). To stop the rumors, Blizzard included a cheat in StarCraft that read 'There is no cow level', adding to the official denial of the cow level.[79] On April 1, 1999, a Diablo II Screenshot of the Week featured cows fighting. People wondered if the screenshot was an April Fool's joke or if there really was a Secret Cow Level planned for Diablo II, which turned out to be true.[79] The 'Secret Cow Level' is considered one of gaming's top ten Easter eggs according to IGN.[80]

Cow Level
After you have beaten Baal go back to act one. Ifyou have Wirts leg from tristam put it in thehoradric cube. If not go back to tristam and getit. Put a tome of town portal with at least onescroll in it in the horadric cube too. Clicktransmute and a red portal will open. Go throughand prepare for the cow level. Its full of hellbovines and the cow king. Make sure you are inthe same act that you beat Baal in.
A Cube Formula
Full rejuvination is really handy because it restoreshealth (and mana) instantly instead of a bit at atime so if ya didn't know . 3 mana + 3 healing += 1 rejuvination 3 rejuvination is 1 full rej.But even better is: 3 mana + 3 healing + 1 gem =full rejuvination!!!
Full Health (druid Only)
To get full health with a druid just morph into bear or wolf form and when you morph back you will have full hp. You can morph back yourself though you have to wait until it changes you back.
Get A Hellfire Torch
How to get your own torch:
First, you must get 3 sets of keys. You get thesekeys, (called terror key, hell key, and destructionkey), from 3 certain mini-bosses in hell mode. These keys randomly drop off of The countess inact1, The Summoner in act2, and Nihlathak in act5. Once you have killed these 3 mini-bosses enoughtimes to receive 3 sets of keys, (that means 3tkeys, 3 hkeys, and 3 dkeys. ), you ready for thenext step: Now you must travel to act 5 of hellmode and transmute the keys. Put one set of keysin the Horadric cube and hit transmute. A redportal will appear (much like the cow level), thered portal will either say 'The Matron Den', 'TheHell Furnace', or 'The Forgotten Sands'. You musttravel through this red portal to get to the uberboss within each portal. In 'The Hell Furnace',you will face off against Uber Izual. In 'Theforgotten sands' you will face off against UberDurial, and in 'The Matron Den' you will face offagainst Lilith (who looks much like andariel). Now I suggest that you open all 3 portals in thesame game, in different places in Harrogath, because which portals open is completely random, but if you already have 1 portal open, thatguarantees that one of the remaining to 2 portalswill open with the next transmute. Now when you kill these 3 uber bosses from the Redportal levels, each boss will drop one 'Organ'.The organs are: Diablo's horn, Mephisto's brain, and Baal's eye. The 3 organs equal 'An organ set'. Now exit the game, and make a new game in hell mode. Put all 3 organs in the Horadric cube and hittransmute. Another red portal will open, but thisone will be called 'Tristam', or 'Uber Tristam'. You are about to face the hardest encounter in thegame, so get ready. Once you travel through theportal, you will meet hordes upon hordes ofskeletons, many of which are completely magicimmune. Forget the Skeletons. Your Focus should beone the 3 bosses in Tristam: Uber Mephisto, Uberdiablo, and Uber Baal. Lure each boss in a corner of Tristam and squareoff with them. Once 2 bosses are defeated, there will be oneleft. After you defeat the third boss, it willdrop a Large Charm (who's text will be in gold).Identify this charm to receive a Hellfire Torch. The torch will give +3 to a random classes skills,+10-+20 to all attributes, +10-+20 to allresistances, and 10 charges of a level 30 firehydra. If the 'Torch' is not for the class youneed it for, you're only choice will to be totrade that torch for another torch for the classyou need. NOTE:You can only have 1 'Torch' at a time. To figure out a torches 'worth' add the numberthat it gives to attributes to the number that itgives to resistances, then divide by 2. EX: A torch gives 18 to attributes, and 16 to allresists, add 18 to 16 to get 34, then divide by 2to get 17. If that number that you calculate is between 10and 14, that torch is considered a 'low torch' andis not worth much. If the number you calculate isbetween 15-17, it is a 'mid torch' and it hasdecent worth. If the calculated number is between18-19, it is considered a 'Hi torch' and has greatvalue. If the calculated number is 20, the torchis considered a 'Perfect torch' or a 'Ptorch' andhas extremely high value. Torches And How To Get Them
A Torch is a item that you put in yourinventory, and it gives you 3 skills up for what-ever your class is. And how to get them is thehard part, heres the first compromise, Tradepeople for them, but you need really good stuffto trade them for. And the second compromise isyou need to get the Lord of Destruction Key, theTerror Key, and the Hatred Key, and you put themin your cube and then it forms a portal, andthen you have to fight bosses. I dont know whatthe bosses are because i never did it before butmy friend on Battle. Net told me. And so afteryo beat the bosses a torch will fall out, a hellfire torch and then you put it in your inventoryand then what your class is, is what 3 skillsare going up! So its a really good chance. Butthe problem is you cant get it again. And youcant get TWO TORCHES FOR THE SAME CLASS!! And ifyou quit out of the game you will never get theopportunity to make another one again! So youbetter do it in that game and do not quit it!GOOD LUCK!
More Quick Spell Selection Keys
Ya know that you can only do 8 quick spellselect keys. And to select them from F1-F8,right. To get more, press Esc, and go intooptions, then go the control settings. As youscroll down, you'll see the selected keys forthe spells you would want to get to quickly. Asyou scroll down more, you start to see that youcan pick up to 16 different spells to select. So, since the F_ keys only go up to F12, I onlydid up to 12 spells to select. If you want tochoose different keys to do up to 16 spells, goahead.
Druids
If you start using a druid invest your skillpoints summoning and morphing skills. Do notinvest too many skill points in elemental skillsbecause in Hell difficulty almost everyone hasimmunities to elemental attacks and spells. Onceyour able to use bear invest all the skillpoints that you can in it (which is twenty)because once their level twenty they can do overone-thousand damage and he will be the bestattruibute that you can have in Nightmare andHell.
Socketing In Items
To put a socket in an item that can be socketed, you put three gems of the same type in thehorodric cube and an item that can be socketed.Once there all in, transmute it, then you shouldhave the item in there socketed. You could alsorepeat this process over and over till it is atits max. You can also do this with items thatare already socketed, or/and that is a magicalitem, like a Unique, but not sure with Set items.Ex:3 chipped gems+1 plate mail=1 socketed platemail.
XP Increase
Whenever you really really need XP do the following. Go to an act that are good at andtype 'players 8', it will increase the XP gained from monsters while increasing the strenght of the monster.
Easy Full Rejuvination Potion
To get a full rejuvination potion all you needis 3 normal rejuvination potions, transmute themand you will have a full rejuvination potion. Toget a normal rejuvination potion you can findone or get 3 mana potions of any size and 3health potions of any size, transmute them andyou will get 1 normal rejuvination potion.Repeat as many times as you want and you willget the same effect.
Experience Bonus
When playing with version 1.09 hit enter then type 'Players 6'. That makes the computer think that there is six players and not just one. That makes the characters harder and more experience and more money.
Good Imbuing
One way to get a good imbued sword or anythingelse is to finish Act 1 and then god to Act 2without imbuing anything, next go to Fara talk toher then buy a falchion or whatever the thing youthink is good to imbue, then go to the waypointin Lut Gohlein and click Act 2, then go to RougeEncampment to go back to act 1(or you can go toWarriv to go back west) then go imbue the item uwant to imbue. NOTE:Remember that it has to be aregular item, not socketed or magical or anything.

Dueling Hint For Barb
While dueling with a barb, use yells as normal.Go back and talk to akara. Next go out to thedueling spot. Instead of bezerk, the move ushould be using to kill most enemys, usewhirlwind,it is way easier to hit someone with.now wait for someone to come to u unless uredueling a foh pali or a zon. On those types youhave to be aggressive and charge at them. Putitems that give you speed when facing them. Whenwhirlwinding, dont click on them but close tothem. If u click on them you will keepwhirlwinding them untill you run out of mana.Try to hit your enemy with the tip of your weponbecause thats where it does the most damage.Barbs are hard to duel with at first because theyhave no long range attacks but in my opinion theyare the best duelers in the hands of experts.
Dueling Hint For Assassin
When dueling with an assassin, go out of town andhit an enemy 3 times with tiger strike charge-up,then go back to the dueling spot and with dragonwing, (the teleport kick) attack someone. Thisshould do much more damage then a regular dragonwing kick.
Sound Chaos
During the game, multiplayer or single, pressenter and type soundchaosdebug. You will hearmany voices of characters in the game. Typesoundchaosdebug again to turn it off.
Frozen Death
If you are just starting out as a sorc, the youcan use this. It only works with the sorceress. When you level up a few times, go to new skill.Go to ice magick, and there will be a shield witha glimmer. Click that and you have ice shield. This manked anything that hits you turn to ice. When you hit it back, it shatters and melts. Youmust reuse it every once in a while, because itwears off after about 4 minutes. You can use anyother spell while this is activated, too. Best inmob battles.
Antidote Potion Recipe
Put a strangling gas potion and a healing potion in the horadric cube. Transmute them to get an antidote potion.
Arrow/Bolt Formula
This horadric cube formula is only really useful if you are travelling with a bow or crossbow, and run out of arrows/bolts and you don't feel like town portaling back to town. 2 quivers of arrows make 1 quiver of bolts. 2 quivers of bolts then equal one quiver of arrows.
3 Gems Of Same Type
Put 3 gems of same type and level of perfection(chipped, flawed, etc) into the horadric cube.Hit transmute and you get a gem of the next levelof perfection. Example 3 chipped make 1 flawed.
3 Amulet Ring Formula
In the horadric cube put 3 amulets in. Transmutefor 1 ring. This is good if you have 3 bad onesand you don't need the money. The inverse workstoo. I mean 3 rings equals one amulet. There is apotential for good amulets/rings. The best I'vegotten was a plus 1 to all skill levels and 4percent life steal.
Cloak Em' And Smoke Em'
This is a useful trick with the assasin. When yourun into a large group of monsters use cloak ofshadows. Then lay as many traps as you can rightin the midst of the monsters. Before the cloak ofshadow runs out most of the monsters will be dead.Note: This is much better if you of a shadowwarrior. The shadow warrior will launch/hrow herown traps too. This will not work with the shadowmaster because masters can use any skill. Themaster will probably just run up and starthitting the monsters instead of doing traps.
Assassin Lock Open
If you are an assasin you don't need keys to openlocked chests. Just click on the locked chest andit will be open. Some people who don't read themanual don't know this.
Act V Mountain Quest
In act V on the quest fighting the barbarianancients on Arriat Summit you can't leave withoutthe ancients resetting. In nightmare or hell modethey gain ablities. You can use the reset to youradvantage. If they have an ability you don't liketo fight against use a town portal. When you comeback you can start the battle over and they'llhave different abilities.
Imbue Redo
To make sure you get a good imbue take your savefile and copy it to another place( folder, disk,cd, etc.) Then have charsi imbue whatever youwant. If you don't like the results delete thesave in the diablo2 folder and put the other onein. The repeat until you like the item you get.
Early Sockected Hint/cheat
Early in the game find a good socketed weopenwith 2 or more sockets. If you put a rune orjewel that does poison damage and a emarald orjust 2 emarlads or 2 runes, etc. the poisondameage will increase dramatically. For example 2chipped emaralds which do 6 poison damage eachtogether do 23 poison damage. This allows you inthe first act and early in the second act to killmost normal monsters with great ease
Weird Prismatic Amulet
Put a perfect gem of every type except skull(in some patched versions you need the skull) in the horadric cube. Hit transmute. You will get an amulet with all resists set to random amounts. Ex.You will also get a random affect like lifesteal, extra stats, abilities, etc.
Horadric Socketing Recipe
Put 3 perfect skulls, a Stone of Jordan (a uniquering), and a rare item and the rare item willhave one socket after the transmuting.
Horadric Cube Rune Formulas
If you put in 3 runes of the same kind you will get 1 new type of rune. EXP. 3 EL runes+horadric cube= 1 ELD rune, 3 TIR runes+horadric cube+1 TAL rune.
Diablo 2 Set Players CommandPerfect Xp Offline
Type /players 8 in any version past 1. 09a and it will be like an online game with max players. The monsters will be harder but in turn you get a lot more experience.
Colors In Profile
To put colors in your profile, minimize the game(ALT+TAB) and open up Notepad. Hold ALT and press00255 on num pad. You should get a y with 2 dots.Copy it and open up profile. Hold control andpress v to paste it. Then press c and they shoulddisappear. Press 1-0 (not on num pad). And to getpurple, press ;
Dueling Strategy For Sorc
When dueling as a hydra sorc in blood moor, gointo one of those small houses. Fill the housewith hydras. When an enemy comes in, teleport outfor the house so your enemy can meet their toastydemise.note: this doesnt work well when dueling zons.

Table of Contents
The purpose of this beginner seasonal guide is to get you acquainted with the basics of Seasons, as well as introducing youto fast leveling, gearing and farming tips that maximize your seasonal experience. While this guide has been written with seasonalplay in mind, many of the strategies carry over to all forms of play, and will be applicable if you are just starting out anon-seasonal character as well.
1. What is a Season and why should you play it?
Seasons are an optional, recurring game mode that allows you the opportunity to start fresh every few months, leveling a Normal orHardcore character from scratch without previously earned items, paragon levels, materials and gold. A great positive of the Seasonis reliving the initial progression, and seeing a character grow in great strides. Seasons are separate much like the Normal andHardcore game modes, and it might seem intimidating that your Seasonal character will have to start his own stash, experience andartisan progression. None of your efforts will be wasted however, as all your endeavors within a Season — characters, items, paragonlevels, gold, etc. — will be rolled over as non-seasonal once the Season concludes. A unique incentive of Seasons are the trackableSeasonal Journeys, exclusive Transmogrification awards, and a separate Leaderboard that allows everyone to compete on even grounds.
2. Leveling 1-702.1. Pre-Game
You make three important choices in the pre-game: forming a party, choosing game mode and setting a difficulty. Starting a Season in agroup rather than solo is a bit harder to organize, but comes with the highest recommendation: not only do you receive a party-wide lootand XP buff, but experience bonuses are now shared between members and lucky rolls for one will benefit you all. Another importantconsideration is that monster health does not scale proportionally to player number, giving you an edge in overall damage (not to mentionutility in the form of CC and buffs). Nevertheless, if you prefer (or simply end up) playing solo, check out the 'Massacre leveling' opportunityoutlined below in the Playstyle section, as it will be your fastest option to reach level 70.
When it comes to game type, Adventure Mode is vastly preferred over Campaign due to its faster pace and more bountiful rewards. The onlyacceptable detour you can make is starting a Campaign game early on, as the Skeleton King drops a guaranteed Leoric's Crown atlevel 5+ when killed in this mode. This helm doubles the bonuses from the gem socketed in it, so add your highest tier Ruby in for asignificant increase in XP gain. Wear this Leoric's Crown for as long as you can handle the stat loss, since you will quickly outlevelit — in most cases, you can take it all the way to 70.
Another pre-game choice is setting your difficulty, and the widely accepted leveling difficulty is Hard: a good combination of negligiblechallenge and a decent 75% experience bonus. You can consider bumping the difficulty to Master or higher only if you have received a hugepower spike, such as crafting a reduced level requirement weapon (discussed below). As a final note, avoid leveling on Expert difficulty, asthe experience gain to monster health increase ratio is heavily unfavorable in comparison with Hard.
2.2. Playstyle
You have two major options for activities during leveling in Adventure Mode: bounties and rifts. To maximize leveling efficiency, considerdoing the bounties in the Act with an active bounty bonus; the game will automatically start the game in it, and the act will be tagged as suchwhen you open the world map. There will always be an active bounty for a random act Boss; ones that do not require a lot of running to find themare particularly attractive (i.e. Zoltun Kulle, Maghda, Belial), but completing the Boss bounty in general will net you good experience right atthe start, as well as a chest that contains nice starting loot. After the Boss bounty, consider finishing the remaining bounties in the Act withactive bonuses for a chance at the Cain's Fate and Born's Defiance crafting plans; both are sets craftable at the blacksmith, whose bonuses yieldadditional experience to speed up leveling.
After you complete the above, it is time to consider leveling by Massacre bonuses. The Massacre bonus XP system was revised in Patch 2.4.1 intoa multiplicative experience bonus that rewards you for chaining kills of monsters. The caveat is this bonus only works in bounties — and notduring Rifts. To successfully pull of long chains of monster kills, pick highly populated zones — the Cathedral (Act I), Halls of Agony Level 3(Act I) and most notably, Fields of Misery (Act I). The tactic is to always be on the move, leading monsters into one another, abusing Cursed Chestsfor monster spawns, and generally using skills with DoTs or high AoE (Rend for Barbarian, Blessed Hammer for Crusader, Multishotfor Demon Hunter, Wave of Light for Monk, Locust Swarm for Witch Doctors, Blizzard for Wizards). While Massacre leveling willrequire frequent restarts of the game (every 5-10 minutes), it will result in some of the fastest leveling in Diablo 3, clocking under the 2 hour markwhen you get the hang of it. Due to its individual nature and the level of coordination required to pull it off in a multiplayer game, leveling byMassacre bonuses can only be recommended for 2+ players if they are experienced and have voice communication; this is predominantly a solo levelingtechnique. It also has the considerable downside of losing the increased legendary drop rate and blood shards of rifting.
For groups and players that do not stress losing an hour in the 1-70 race, the general recommendation is to stick to rifts for the 1-70 journey. Riftsgrant you increased legendary drop rate, blood shards for gambling, and a hefty 'hand in' bonus at the end. While rifting has a higher degree of randomnessthan bounties (map layout, monster density and composition are all RNG), the removal of Rift Keystones as a requirement to open them allows you to simplyremake if you get a bad (difficult or slow) rift.
A lesson best learned early in Diablo is focusing on larger groups of enemies and ignoring stragglers to the best of your ability — take advantageof the fact that only individual enemies you must fight are Rift Guardians. In the endgame, this will translate in efficient skipping of bad fights and betterfarming results; during leveling, it will result in you hitting max level faster. To summarize, adopt AoE spells and teach yourself to concentrate fire onlarger packs of enemies, luring stragglers to them.
And finally, minimize your own downtime — this is a common pitfall that is hard to realize, because it is unique and personal for everyone. Whether it isout-of-game distractions like TV or a second monitor, or redundant in-game activities like excessive crafting, that downtime will drag your leveling processunnecessarily. As a rule of thumb, remember that pre-70 gear will be quickly outgrown and pondering between items of similar power — or rerolling any ofthem — is more than likely a waste of your time. Good leveling times fall somewhere in the 2 to 3 hours range, so anything over that points at downtimes andskipping one or more of the recommendations above.
Diablo 2 Players X2.3. Gearing
Setting the game at a difficulty that will not make you struggle for survivability allows you to concentrate on one thing only: fast andefficient clearing, which is directly tied to your damage. Its biggest contributor will be your weapon, so allocate resources and focus yourattention accordingly. If you have not upgraded that slot in about five levels, consider crafting yourself one at the Blacksmith. A small tipright when you start would be to steal appropriate weapons from your followers — you can grab a spear from the Templar, a crossbow from theScoundrel and a dagger from the Enchantress. At level 1, they are stronger than your default weapon.
Classes are spread across several main stats: Strength for Barbarians and Crusaders; Dexterity for Demon Hunters and Monks; and Intelligencefor Necromancers, Witch Doctors and Wizards. Adding to your main stat has major influence on your damage in Diablo 3, and even more so during leveling wherehigh-end modifiers like crit, attack speed and elemental damage are infrequent and at low values. The importance of the basic Toughness stat,Vitality, and leveling amplifiers like Additional XP cannot be disregarded, but they should always be considered second to main stat gain.
To solidify your DPS, check vendors for rings and amulets adding flat damage. These give you a huge damage boost in the early game, where your weapondamage is in the double and triple digits. Fence merchants in towns sell jewelry, available at around level 6 for rings and around level 10 for amulets.Do not zealously check back and forth however, and only make merchant trips during natural pauses in gameplay — like Rift closing times.
While it is easier to write them off as a level 70+ concern, do not forget the existence and importance of gems during the leveling process. Mostimportantly, save up and upgrade two Rubies to the highest available tier at the time, and slot them in your weapon and helm. Adding a Ruby to a weaponadds flat damage, which is the best DPS increase in pre-70 gameplay, where Crit chance rolls are scarce and low, and the Crit Damage boosting Emeraldgem reaps lesser benefits. A Ruby in the helm increases experience gain, shortening the time necessary to reach max level.
As a quick tip, there is a good chance you go over your 500 Blood Shards cap before you reach level 70, where you want to do your initial burst ofgambling. To avoid wasting your rewards, do not hesitate to gamble a little bit, dipping just enough to hover at the 400+ range. Look over your gear, pick your worst slot — the one you have not upgraded for a while — and gamble 1-3 pieces. It will not hurt your progression, and you will feelthe difference during leveling.
2.4. Crafting
As previously noted, crafting should not be overlooked as a source of weapon upgrades — and is especially important during leveling, because itcan be combined with the completion of a Challenge Rift right at the start of a Season (Challenge Rifts are explained a little further in this guide).Saving the weekly Challenge Rift completion and doing it right when the new Season starts on your fresh character is an easy way to gain a bunch of craftingmaterials and gold. This allows you to boost your Blacksmith and Mystic to Level 12 and to craft and reroll Level 70 weapons to use during leveling —the single biggest boost you can give yourself. Level 70 weapons can roll with a Reduced Level Requirement affix — up to 30 — in their secondarystats, skyrocketing your DPS for nearly half your leveling and allowing you to bump up difficulty for better XP gain.
First, pick a solid, cross-class two handed weapon category like a Two-Handed Axe, Two-Handed Sword, or a Two-Handed Mace, and select the highest tier rareweapon to craft. In order to conserve crafting materials and gold, craft weapons in small batches of 5, or even one by one when strapped for cash, and checktheir affixes. Be on the lookout for the following affixes:
Pay close attention to the gold you spend rerolling, and if possible, keep several items with potential to reroll around. This is done because everyadditional reroll scales the necessary gold, and you can easily deplete the Challenge Rift cash if you get careless. Note that items that you craft withthe intent to get Reduced Level Requirement can be shared among your party members PRIOR to getting rerolled. If you get exceptionally lucky, you can stackseveral high level weapons in your group and speed up your leveling immensely, but remember to share weapons with potential before they get rerolled. Also,be careful with the Salvaging options in the Blacksmith after a crafting session, especially when you get a good weapon. Salvaging all rares will destroy thefruits of your labor! To prevent this from happening, either stash the weapon immediately to prevent mishaps, or do a quick cheap transmog at the Mystic —transmogrified rare gear will not get destroyed from a Salvage All Rares click.
Salvaging everything that is not an upgrade should be a priority, as crafting resources will be in high demand for the vast majority of your Seasonalplaytime and salvaging items of all levels yields universal materials. An exception to the salvaging rule should be made for legendary items with valuableaffixes, whose consumption in Kanai's Cube is more important than the immediate crafting material. An exhaustive list would be hard to compile, so take alook at the endgame and farming guides for your chosen class and note some of the key legendaries. This will ensure that The Furnace, Cindercoat,Unity, Convention of Elements, Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac or other superb items will not accidentally end as Forgotten Souls.
Another exception from the salvage pile should be two legendary items: Bovine Bardiche and Puzzle Ring. Their unique effects can beconsidered irrelevant or amusing depending on your mood, but their Kanai's Cube recipes are quite useful at the Season start. Putting a Bovine Bardichein and pressing Transmute opens a portal to the Cow Level — a Rift-like area filled with XP-heavy cows, as well as normal and resplendent chests. Doingthe same with a Puzzle Ring opens a portal to the Goblin realm, netting you excellent starting gold and the Boon of the Hoarder legendary gem.
3. At Level 70
Your overall strategy will not alter much immediately after hitting 70; rifts continue to be your best source of gear, and bounty runs should be delayeduntil you need to craft a set or store a unique power — both of which require bounty-specific materials. An exception would be prioritizing the SeasonalJourney up to the relevant Chapter to acquire the full class-specific set from Haedrig's Gifts, and acquiring your Kanai's Cube for the first time from theRuins of Sescheron area in Act III, which you can do at any time and will only have to deal with once.
3.1. The Seasonal Journey and Haedrig's Gifts
The Season Journey consists of series of achievements which grant cosmetic rewards, including profile borders, item transmogs and cosmetic pets. The SeasonJourney is divided into Chapters with separate achievements that are roughly similar in difficulty and relevance to character progression, giving someadditional incentive and structure to seasonal gameplay. The Journey is available only to seasonal characters, and is shared account wide with the exception ofthe Softcore and Hardcore divide.
Completion of seasonal chapters II, III and IV yields Haedrig's Gifts, a cache-like reward that drops two pieces of a fixed class-specificset. With the completion of these chapters, you will have a full 6 piece set bonus available to you, skyrocketing your character power well into the mid-to-highTorments. This makes the early portion of the Seasonal Journey your first priority upon reaching max level.
With the early Season Journey out of the way, you have three significant types of farming: Bounties, Normal Rifts and Greater Rifts, each with its owndistinctive benefits.
3.2. Doing Bounties
This is also referred to as splitting bounties after the prevailing strategy for its completion: getting in a party of four people and dividing the bountiesof each act between yourselves, one person per bounty. Splitting the bounties at the highest difficulty you can handle solo is considered the most efficientway to obtain the Horadric Cache rewards. Bounties are a decent source of crafting materials, the only way to get cache legendaries (i.e. Ring of Royal Grandeur),and perhaps most importantly — the unique materials that fuel Kanai's Cube recipes. As such, prioritize bounty farming when you need to extract a game changinglegendary power (examples above) or craft a legendary or set item at the Blacksmith. For general farming, choose one of the following methods.
3.3. Running Normal Rifts
This is you bread and butter at the start, and will remain a staple in your farming well into the endgame. Rifts no longer require keystones to open, andyou can start one anytime; their universal structure and clear goal (progress the bar by killing the monsters until the Rift Guardian appears, kill him andloot him, close the rift and repeat) only reinforced by their better drop chance compared to Bounties. While you can continue the Rift past the Guardian,it is advisable that you end once you finish him off — entering a new one is free, and getting as many Guardian kills and Rift close rewards as you canyields more experience, gold and blood shards per hour. You should prioritize normal rift farming for the vast majority of your early playtime, adjusting thedifficulty to the highest you can handle while still being efficient — killing elites in less than 10 seconds is a good metric. Normal rifts are best atgearing you up and supply you with Greater Rift keystones, the next important step in your progression.
3.4. Fast ('Speed') Greater Rifts
Greater Rift keystones are generally used for three purposes: pushing for Leaderboard placement, upgrading Legendary Gems and farming Paragon levels. Whenstarting out, the latter two will be done at once, with the added benefit of getting a guaranteed Legendary Gem at the end of every Greater Rift until youhave a complete collection. In Greater Rifts monsters still grant progression, but the activity is unique in its timed nature, and only grants you loot fromthe Rift Guardian kill. To compensate its lesser material gain, Greater Rifts produce scaling Blood Shard rewards and multiply experience bonuses on gear, making them ideal for Paragon leveling. When you should do your first GRs and how many of them is up to personal preference, but it is advisable to startweaving them in as soon as you can handle the early Torment levels. As they invariably grant you the vital Legendary Gems and allow you to upgrade them uponcompletion within the timer, Greater Rifts will gradually take a larger and larger role in your routine.
3.5. A note on Challenge Rifts
As of Patch 2.6, you are able to select a unique activity in the pre-gamelobby: Challenge Rifts. The Challenge Rift system pulls a random Greater Riftcompletion (including from ones too low to be on the leaderboard) —snapshotting the build, gear and even the level layout. All players are then ableto compete for its fastest completion on completely even grounds. There is aweekly reward attached to beating the timer of the original run: a cache of 300Blood Shards, 4 million gold, 8 of the unique bounty materials for Cube recipes, and a stack of regular crafting mats. This is one of the strongest early boostsyou can get in the first week of a Season, so do your Challenge Rift as soon aspossible. Considering the minimal effort required for the cache, it is also a gooduse of your time every subsequent week.
3.6. Gambling
Befitting the name of the activity, spending Blood Shards at Kadala is not an exact science. You can slightly influence this luck-heavy endeavor by applyingany of the following strategies:
Kanai's Cube brings a more refined aspect of gambling, allowing you to roll rare items into legendary items of the same type, as well as rerolling thevery legendary items. Transforming a rare item into a legendary is an excellent way to target class-specific items (wands, mighty weapons, ceremonial knives, etc.) and has the potential to roll them as Ancient, making it a great mid-Season recipe to assemble gear. Rerolling a legendary item is an expensive recipetargeted towards mid-to-late Season, where acquiring a specific Ancient can make the difference at a shot for the Leaderboards. Finally, the set conversionrecipe is a relatively inexpensive method of assembling a set through redundant pieces, but cannot produce Ancients, and as such can only be considered anearly 70 booster.
4. A Final Note
However you decide your approach to Seasons, make sure you do it for the right reason: having fun and experiencing character growth. The meta has beenfrequently criticized for its RNG-heavy endgame, but that can hardly explain the same people appearing time and again at the top of the Leaderboards.Rest assured that they are the ones that treat the Season as a marathon and not a race, easily surpassing the ones that go extremely hard at the start andburn themselves out by week two. Consistency, research and minimizing downtime will be the three biggest contributing factors to your Seasonal progress andyour endgame achievements. Happy hunting!
